A Five-Star Steakhouse, Built for East County

USDA Prime and Wagyu steaks, aged 28 days. Sixth-floor views. Art Deco dining. This is Heritage Steakhouse in Santee.

The Heritage Story

Michael Grant built Lantern Crest from the ground up. When East County residents kept driving to La Jolla or downtown San Diego for a special dinner, he decided they shouldn’t have to. That’s why Heritage Steakhouse opened on the sixth floor of his Legacy Building, right here in Santee. Partnering with Executive Chef Meredith Manée from Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton, Heritage Steakhouse was built to be the milestone-dinner destination East County never had to leave home to reach.

Three Pillars

Prime & Aged

Every steak is USDA Prime, Certified Angus, or Wagyu, aged a minimum of 28 days. We finish them in a radiant-heat broiler that sears from both top and bottom, locking in flavor while delivering the perfect crust and center you expect.

Timeless Atmosphere

Step out of the glass elevator onto the sixth floor into an Art Deco dining room designed for a special occasion. Warm light. A bar worth arriving early for. Live Sinatra-era jazz with a modern edge. Panoramic views over the Santee Valley at sunset. This is where you bring someone special.

Exceptional Service

Professional. Attentive. Discreet. Our team is trained to anticipate your needs and let the food speak for itself. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you’re in the hands of hospitality experts.

The Sixth-Floor Experience

The glass elevator rises, and the valley opens up beneath you — warm amber light, Art Deco details, jazz playing just loud enough to notice. By the time the dining room opens up around those panoramic windows, you’re suspended above Santee at sunset. The view is part of the meal here. It’s the kind of arrival that turns a Tuesday dinner into an occasion.
Valet parking at the entry. No hunting for a spot. No fumbling for keys at the end of the night — just arrival.
